The BCAT® will be offering an annual scholarship opportunity, The Erin Knoepfel Education Award, for Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) who demonstrate proficiency in providing cognitive rehabilitation services, dedication to their own professional development, and actively advocate and support the patients and families they serve.
Erin Knoepfel MS, CCC-SLP was a Speech Language Pathologist for over 30 years and served as the Vice President of Strategic Integration at Mansbach Health Tools, LLC, home of the BCAT® Approach. Erin used her knowledge and experience as both an SLP and a leader to mentor clinicians and support organizations across the healthcare continuum. She presented on clinical and operational topics at the regional, state, and national levels and co-created the MemPics® Grab’N Go book, a resource for center staff and rehabilitation clinicians to provide meaningful engagement and cognitive enhancement activities to aging adults.
Erin passed away in April 2022, but her spirit and legacy live on. In honor of her contribution to the profession of Speech Language Pathology, we are now accepting nominations for the annual Erin Knoepfel Education Award.
